Upcoming Trip to Medellin, Colombia
Partnering with El Redil Del poblado
This July, a team of 19 students and adults from NewBranch Community Church will travel to Medellín, Colombia (July 4–13) to partner with one of our church partners, El Redil del Poblado. Our heart is to encourage believers, serve families, and share the hope of Christ as we learn from and serve alongside the local church.
During our time in Medellín, we will work with El Redil del Poblado to help lead a 3 day youth retreat for students, support a business outreach program designed to serve and connect with the local community, and provide ministry training for children’s teams and servant ministry teams. Our students will also be joined by their student leaders to help lead the retreat alongside adult leaders—serving in sessions and small groups, supporting worship and teaching times, and helping behind the scenes so the retreat runs smoothly.
The total cost for the entire trip is $28,500, which includes travel, lodging, meals, local transportation, and ministry-related expenses for the full team. We’re asking NewBranch members to prayerfully consider supporting this mission to help make it possible for our students and leaders to go, serve, and grow. Our goal date for raising these funds is June 28th. You can give to support this trip by writing a check to NewBranch and putting Colombia Mission Trip in the memo line or online (here).
Just as importantly, we would appreciate your prayers: for unity and humility on our team, for God to prepare the hearts of the youth and families we’ll serve at the retreat, for the business outreach to build genuine relationships and open doors for the gospel, and for safe travel, good health, and God’s provision.
